Hi, i’m ellie may

Hi! My name is Ellie. As a graphic designer, I aim to add life to people’s experiences through design that is bold, bright, and fun. I love logo design - it’s always something I dive into headfirst. Alongside that, I love branding. It’s a lot of fun and always a bit of a challenge, to shape someone’s experience through a great brand, whether they’re looking for a product or a service or an experience, or trying to sell their own. I also love typography in all forms. Words by themselves are incredibly special, but I love making the meaning behind them even more special and clear through how they look and how they’re displayed. 

My story from childhood to graphic designer is all over the place. I grew up loving art. I was scribbling lines with crayons before I was walking. In high school, I fell in love with astronomy and planned to major in that. Senior year, I switched to social work to serve others. Second semester of my freshman year of college, there was nothing but disconnect. I was searching for something different, and amongst the list of majors on the college’s website, I found graphic design. When I looked through the list of classes for the major, I dove straight in and switched. I never looked back.
